Wong Tien Yin is a Professor & Medical Director at the Singapore National Eye Centre, Chairman at Singapore Eye Research Institute and Vice-Dean of the Office of Clinical Sciences, Duke-NUS Medical School, National University of Singapore.

Professor Wong completed residency ophthalmology training at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC), and medical retinal fellowships at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA and University of Sydney, Australia. He has a MPH and PhD from the Johns Hopkins University, USA. As Chair of Ophthalmology and Medical Director of SNEC, Professor Wong helms one of the largest tertiary eye hospital and research institute in Asia.

Professor Wong is a retinal specialist with a clinical practice focusing on major retinal diseases, and leads nation-wide research studies. He has published >1,000 peer�reviewed papers, given >300 invited plenary, symposium and named lectures globally.

Dr Daniel Ting is an Associate Consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre and an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School.

He graduated as the Valedictorian of the SingHealth residency in 2016 and is currently pursuing his Vitreo-retinal fellowship in SNEC. In 2017, he was awarded one of the most prestigious scholarship awards – the US Fulbright Scholar Award to represent Singapore at Johns Hopkins University (JHU) School of Medicine and Machine Learning Unit to exchange ideas and optimise the use artificial intelligence for patients with diabetic eye diseases.

Dr Daniel Ting has numerous retina clinical and imaging researches on retinal detachment, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. He published his scientific findings in many peer- reviewed journals, written book chapters and also presented in many local, regional and international conferences. Dr Ting has been recognized with the prestigious UK FRCOphth McCartney Prize (2013) and Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Young Ophthalmologists’ Award (2018).

He also serves as a reviewer in many high impact journals, including Diabetes Medicine, Diabetes Care, Ophthalmology, and American Journal of Ophthalmology.

Ms Haslina is currently the Senior Manager of SNEC Ocular Reading Centre at Singapore National Eye Centre.

Haslina is a trained and experienced non-physician reader who has developed her technical expertise in ocular imaging interpretation of various eye diseases. She underwent her training in two leading reading centres � Wisconsin and Melbourne. After her return, Haslina has been instrumental in the establishment of SNEC Ocular Reading Centre and she oversees the daily operations of SORC.

Haslina also helped to set up and manage the one of the few successful cross cluster, translational national diabetic programme, the Singapore Integrated Diabetic Retinopathy Programme (SIDRP), which has an outreach of 120,000 patients annually, with more than 30 sites island wide.

In addition, she also actively involved in > 10 active research studies and part of a workgroup to develop and implement Artificial Intelligence in our screening service.

Wynne Hsu is a Provost’s Chair Professor and Deputy Head at the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing, National University of Singapore (NUS). She is also the Deputy Director at the NUS Institute of Data Science.

She has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers and scientific book chapters in premier journals and top-ranked conferences. She has received multiple awards, including SIGKDD Test-of-Time Paper award and the A*STAR President’s Technology award, Singapore.

Professor Wynne is the co-inventor of SELENA+ a deep learning system for the screening of diabetic retinopathy, aged macular degeneration, glaucoma, and cataract. She is also the co-inventor of SIVA, a retinal vascular assessment system that has been licensed and used by hospital and universities in US, Japan, China, Australia and others.

Lee Mong Li is a Professor of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore.

She has extensive experience in the field of database integration and management, large-scale analytics and machine learning with applications to biomedical domains. She is a very active researcher with more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, and is the co-author of several book chapters and books.

Professor Lee has played a key role in several multi-disciplinary research projects to design intuitive solutions that are extensible and scalable, and to build clinical systems that are practical and deployable. She is the co-inventor of several patents and patent applications, and the co-recipient of the Singapore’s President Technology Award 2014.

Gilbert Lim is an Assistant Professor and AI Scientist at SingHealth.

He obtained his doctorate from NUS with a dissertation on automating retinopathy and glaucoma screening, and also holds degrees in computer science and economics from the same university. His current work focuses on the application of artificial intelligence to the medical domain.

Teik Kin is currently the Founding CEO of EyRIS Pte Ltd and CEO of novaHEALTH Pte Ltd.

Teik Kin, graduate from University of Queensland in Bachelor of Surveying (2nd Class Honours Upper) is the founding CEO of EyRIS and co-founder of the Nova Group of Companies, focusing on development of software solutions for E-Government and Healthcare. The parent company Nova MSC was public-listed in MESDAQ Malaysia in August 2003.

He also sits on the board of novaHEALTH’s Joint-Venture companies in Brunei Darussalam and United Arab Emirates.

In 2016, Teik Kin was appointed Business Mentor to the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) Ophthalmic Technologies Incubator to provide business insights and guide business teams from a business aspect.

Teik Kin has extensive experience in building business collaborations and commercialization of tech-solutions, putting him in good stead to rapidly grow EyRIS business globally.

Gavin Tan is a Senior Consultant in the Surgical Retinal Department of the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) and a clinician scientist at the Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI). He is an Associate professor with the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical school.

Gavin completed his ophthalmology residency and surgical retina fellowship at SNEC after which he furthered his retina training with fellowships at Stanford University and Jules Stein Eye institute at UCLA. As clinical director of the SNEC ocular reading centre (SORC), which is one of the major imaging reading centres for diabetic retinopathy and retina clinical trials in Singapore, he is involved in the development of Singapore Integrated diabetic retinopathy screening program, a national telemedicine screening program in Singapore which is currently implementing artificial intelligence into DR screening.

Gavin’s clinical and research interest is in diabetic eye disease, retinal imaging and artificial intelligence. He is the lead for diabetic complications at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Diabetes Centre. Dr Gavin is also the director of the SNEC Digital Transformation office, and has a keen interest in developing artificial intelligence, virtual imaging clinics and home monitoring solution to address the constraints of medical care in the 21st century.

Assoc Prof Tan has been awarded the MOH Clinical excellence award for his work developing DR screening and has been awarded multiple national grants in to study diabetic eye disease. His research has been published widely in peer review journals and presented at various international meetings.
